The shitty part is if they want your bike, they are gonna get it no matter what you lock it up with. Do you know how easy it is for 3 guys to throw a 475 lbs bike in the back of a truck? Pretty easy!!!! I am a big fan of the practice to stay out of bad areas, carry weapons on yourself, own a few well trained animals, teach your family how to protect themselves and how to use weapons. I hope some mo.... fu.... comes into my house. 3 dogs (2 well trained pits about 55 lbs, and an Akita that is damn protective and trained at about 140 lbs, and one mean ass cat, Several hand guns and rifles, and I like to fight!!!)
But plain and simple, you can protect yoruself/ bike all you want, if they want it they are gonna get it. Get good insurance, report all mods, and always pay on time!!!!!! I have had several systems in my time, one I spent 4 years putting together, the box was so big we built it in the back of the truck (2000 S10reg cab, 6 12" Fosgates), bolted down, covered bed, etc., well needless to say they just stole the fu...... bed of the truck! Cut the wires and removed the bed bolts, they broke the windows out and cut my seat to get the amps out, and destroyed the dash to get the head unit and pre amp out. I had just finished the install like 2 days before, it was sitting in the back of the shop waiting for the weekend to install my alarm. Insurance totaled the truck. That is no sh..!!!!
