Default LED Tail Light

Thinking about putting on an led tail. Has anyone taken theirs off yet? If so, how much stuff would i have to remove just to get the tail light assembly out.

Looking at the service manual, it seems that all you do is take off the plastic bracket piece behind the tail light. I dont think its necessary to remove the upper tail cover. am i right?

I ended up taking the whole tail piece off, its super simple. Remove the drivers seat, two bolts under that, two up by the tail light, those push pins connectors underneath, and slowly/ carefully take the tail off. Unplug your tail light and then the whole thing can b taken to your work bech to swap the tail light!! I love the integrated light, want to remove my tail tidy, put a plate bracket down on the axle and take the tail tidy totally off. The integrated lights look cool as hell, cleans your tail up alot, I just need to find out if it will pass inspection around here!!!

For those that don't like the straight line going accross the tail light in the video above, there's also this one:
2011 YAMAHA FZ1 FAZER FZ8 SMOKE INTEGRATED LED TAIL LIGHT+SIGNAL | eBay

I'm considering it, looks great.

Cancel your order and mail it to me. I'll get it smoked for you for peanuts.
Check mine out . Done locally by friend at his bodyshop.
